Enabling JavaScript

JavaScript is used on this site to provide a number of interactive features. Without JavaScript enabled on your browser, these will not work. You may also find that you cannot gain access to certain sections of this site.

The following instructions show you how to enable JavaScript on your browser:

Chrome

  1. Click on Tools (with the 'Customise and control Google Chrome' spanner icon) on the toolbar at the top right of the browser.
  2. From the options in the dropdown list, select Options.
  3. Click on the Under the Bonnet tab at the top of the 'Google Chrome Options' dialogue box.
  4. Under 'Privacy', click the Content Settings button to open the 'Content Settings' dialogue box.
  5. Select the 'JavaScript' tab, and select the Allow all sites to accept JavaScript option.
  6. Close all the dialogue boxes.

Firefox

  1. On the toolbar at the top of the browser, select Tools.
  2. From the dropdown list, select Options....
  3. Select the Web Features / Content tab.
  4. Select the Enable JavaScript checkbox so that a tick appears.
  5. Select OK at bottom of the Options window to save your changes.

Internet Explorer

  1. On the toolbar at the top of the browser, select Tools.
  2. From the dropdown list, select Internet Options....
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Select the Custom Level to open up the Security Settings window.
  5. On the Security Settings window, scroll down to Active Scripting and select the Enable radio button.
  6. Save your changes by selecting OK at bottom of the Security Settings window, and then selecting OK at bottom of the Internet Options window.

Opera

  1. On the toolbar at the top of the browser, select Tools.
  2. From the dropdown list, select Preferences....
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. Select the Content option from the list in the left-hand column.
  5. Select the Enable JavaScript checkbox so that a tick appears.
  6. Select OK at bottom of the Preferences window to save your changes.

Safari

  1. On the toolbar at the top of the browser, select Edit.
  2. From the dropdown list, select Preferences....
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Select the Enable JavaScript checkbox so that a tick appears.
