Enabling Cookies

Chrome

  1. Check that the software on your PC, such as your firewall or any add-ons you may have installed on your browser, is not preventing cookies from being saved on your hard drive.
  2. Click on Tools (with the 'Customise and control Google Chrome' spanner icon) on the toolbar at the top right of the browser.
  3. From the options in the dropdown list, select Options.
  4. Click on the Under the Bonnet tab at the top of the 'Google Chrome Options' dialogue box.
  5. Under 'Privacy', click the Content Settings button to open the 'Content Settings' dialogue box.
  6. Select the 'Cookies' tab, and click on the Exceptions... button to open the 'Cookie Exceptions' dialogue box.
  7. Click on the Add... button at the bottom of the dialogue box and enter www.northamber.com into the 'Pattern' field and make sure the 'Action' field is set to Allow.
  8. Click OK to save your settings and then close all the dialogue boxes.
  9. Once you have enabled cookies on your browser, you can click here to return to the page you were on.

Firefox

  1. Check that the software on your PC, such as your firewall or any add-ons you may have installed on your browser, is not preventing cookies from being saved on your hard drive.
  2. Click on Tools on the toolbar at the top left of the browser.
  3. From the options in the dropdown list, select Options...
  4. Click the Privacy tab at the top of the 'Options' dialogue box.
  5. Click on the Exceptions... button in the Cookies section.
  6. When the 'Exceptions - Cookies' dialogue box opens, type in www.northamber.com in the 'Address of the web site' box.
  7. Click on the Allow button so that the WebSite site is added to the list below.
  8. Click Close to close the 'Exceptions - Cookies' dialogue box.
  9. Click OK to close the 'Options' dialogue box and save your settings.
  10. Once you have enabled cookies on your browser, you can click here to return to the page you were on.

Internet Explorer 7+

  1. Important: If your computer is part of a network, your organisation’s system administrator might have disabled or even removed settings by using Group Policy. Group Policy is a feature of Windows that lets system administrators manage users' access to Windows features. If you suspect this is the case, contact your system administrator as you may find any changes you make to your settings will get ignored or will not be saved.
  2. Check that the software on your PC, such as your firewall or any add-ons you may have installed on your browser, is not preventing cookies from being saved on your hard drive.
  3. Click on Tools on the toolbar at the top right of the browser.
  4. From the options in the dropdown list, select Internet Options.
  5. Click the Security tab at the top of the Internet Options dialogue box.
  6. Click the Restricted Sites logo and make sure the 'Restricted Sites' message appears below.
  7. Click the Sites button below the logo. If www.northamber.com appears in the list, click on it to highlight it and click the Remove button to remove it from the 'Restricted Sites' list. Once this is done, close the dialogue box.
  8. Click the Privacy tab at the top of the Internet Options dialogue box.
  9. Click on the Sites button.
  10. When the 'Per Site Privacy Actions' dialogue box opens, type in www.northamber.com in the 'Address of website' box.
  11. Click on the Allow button so that the WebSite site is added to the list below.
  12. Click OK to close the 'Per Site Privacy Actions' dialogue box.
  13. Click OK to close the 'Internet Options' dialogue box and save your settings.
  14. Once you have enabled cookies on your browser, you can click here to return to the page you were on.

  2. Click on Tools on the toolbar at the top left of the browser.
  3. From the options in the dropdown list, select Preferences...
  4. Click the Advanced tab at the top of the 'Preferences' dialogue box.
  5. Select Content from the left-hand column.
  6. Click on the Manage site preferences... button.
  7. In the 'Server manager' dialogue box, click on the Add... button.
  8. Select the General tab (if not already selected) and enter www.northamber.com into the 'Site' textbox.
  9. Select the Cookies tab and make sure the Accept cookies option has been selected and the Delete new cookies when exiting Opera is deselected.
  10. Click OK to close the 'Site preferences' dialogue box.
  11. Click Close to close the 'Server manager' dialogue box.
  12. Click OK to close the 'Preferences' dialogue box.
  13. Once you have enabled cookies on your browser, you can click here to return to the page you were on.

Safari

  7. Click on the Sites button.
  8. When the 'Per Site Privacy Actions' dialogue box opens, type in www.northamber.com in the 'Address of website' box.
  9. Click on the Allow button so that the WebSite site is added to the list below.
  10. Click OK to close the 'Per Site Privacy Actions' dialogue box.
  11. Click OK to close the 'Internet Properties' dialogue box and save your settings.
